  1. We introduce ourselves by our preferred names and our personal pronouns.

  2. We always ask for consent before we take photos or videos, and we ask for additional consent if we plan to post them anywhere or share them publicly.

  3. We apologize if/when we misidentify someone, and we are open to accepting advice on how to repair harm if it’s freely given. 

  4. We call each other in with constructive and compassionate feedback when we experience someone making a mistake or not meeting expectations of this space. 

  5. We express kind concern about instances of potential appropriation and voyeurism. 

  6. We avoid ableist and gendered language and receive corrections with humility and respect, so that the ideas we express apply to everyone present.

  7. We don’t make assumptions about each other; we ask curious and respectful questions to learn about each other instead.

  8. We communicate directly and proactively with each other, especially about safety and wellness concerns. 

  9. Safety is everyone’s shared responsibility. 

  10. We don’t use essential oils, aerosols, or sprays in the studio - we apply those outside to be courteous to those with allergies and sensitivities. 

  11. We welcome new people into this community with warmth. 

  12. We value the contributions of others and encourage active and full participation from everyone present: we share the mic with those who want to contribute.

  13. We choose appropriate challenges for ourselves, and respect that not everyone wants to be challenged.

  14. We show up in this space sober, aware, and hygienic for the safety and comfort of others.

  15. We commit to learning alongside each other so that this space is always inclusive, welcoming, and safe.
